Great Barrier Island  -  New Zealand

Our company specialises  in charter trips to Gt. Barrier Island - a remote, tranquil and untouched paradise 90km north east of central Auckland. Located at the edge of the Hauraki Gulf, Great Barrier Island is one of the most unspoilt places you’ll ever find.

Our most popular trips are spear & kayak fishing, rock fishing & free diving. The island is a unique experience in itself let alone with the added pleasures of fishing, diving, kayaking, biking or walking in such a clean & green environment.

"Redquarters"  is a 24 m (80’) charter vessel owned and run by Lara Star Ltd and based on Waiheke Island in Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf.

Most of our charters are to Great Barrier Island  - but we are happy to discuss terms for most types of charter - the usual or unusual - give skipper  Red  a call anytime on 027 272 9617 or email  redquarters@xtra.co.nz

"Redquarters" is based on a landing craft hull, has a fully lowering  bow door and can float in 1.5 m of water, making beach access very practical.

The vessel is licensed for 80 day passengers and up to 25 overnight.  On board accommodation includes 4 separate cabins each with 1 x double & 1 x single berth and a large & roomy bunk room with 14 single berths.  She has a full galley, large chiller capacity, blast freezer, modern communications and navigation equipment    ... more
